The Crosschain (XCLP) Testnet of the Router Protocol has been made public

Router’s ‘almost-mainnet’ version of a testnet has officially launched. We introduced the testnet v1 in late Q1 and this is a big enhancement. The XCLP (Crosschain Liquidity Protocol) from Router allows for smooth liquidity migration between chains, as well as smart-order routing for efficient execution based on customisable criteria. In response to repeated requests for access to the testnet, the team has chosen to make its new XCLP testnet open to the whole community prior to the upcoming launch of Router Protocol’s mainnet.

Until until, only a restricted number of users had access to this testnet. The Router team hopes to achieve the following goals by making the testnet open to the general public:

  1. Allow users to familiarize themselves with the platform. The community will be able to experiment with the platform in a secure environment with testnet money, as the new XCLP testnet has nearly the same interface and features as the upcoming mainnet.
  2. The Router team want to hear from the community about problems, UI enhancements, and any recommendations in general by providing an open feedback channel. We’ll keep a close eye on the feedback channels and implement it into the mainnet launch.

Previous XCLP Testnet

The team first released a testnet in March 2021, which is now the current version of the XCLP testnet. Users could transfer stablecoin assets between the Ethereum (Kovan), Matic, BSC, and Huobi testnets on the previous XCLP testnet. Later, support for the Avalanche FUJI testnet was added. The testnet proved Router’s potential for ultra-fast cross-chain transfers in under a minute, gaining considerable community interest and confidence in the process.

About Router Protocol

Router Protocol is developing a set of cross-chain liquidity infrastructure primitives that will serve as a bridge between existing and new Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchain solutions.
