MahaDAO and Coordinape Work Together to Manage DAOs
The Yearn Finance team created Coordinape as a platform for organizing payouts and bringing transparency to how the DAOs operated.
The MahaDAO team will provide an MAHA token grant of 5000$ to the Coordinape team every month for the integration and will actively support the project in any way possible.
Coordinape makes coordinating and motivating multiple MahaDAO community members as simple as a few mouse clicks (even at scale).
Every user of the platform is given a monthly budget of MAHA tokens with which he or she can reward other members of the platform for their contributions. Members of the community can also write reasons for why they choose to reward a community member with a specific amount, adding an extra layer of transparency.
At the end of each month, a one-week “epoch” begins, during which all community members who have signed up for the platform gather together to reward the contributors who they believe have provided the most value to the DAO.
After the week is over, the MAHA staff will combine all of the balances and send a single reward to all community members based on the epoch’s allocations. The MahaDAO core staff will not intervene in community member allocations or awards, ensuring that the DAO remains as transparent and decentralized as possible.
The coordination tool provides a graph view of the whole contribution network to avoid instances where individuals try to form cartels and reward each other with no active contribution to the DAO.
The graph depicts how awards are distributed from one member to the next. Due to its nature, it can easily aid in the detection of cartels by analyzing circles of users who continue to reward one another.
This allows for a level of transparency that would otherwise be unattainable.
Contributors will be compensated using monies from the MAHA Ecosystem.
The MahaDAO Ecosystem receives 50,000 MAHA tokens per month to spend on various ecosystem activities. The budget for the Coordinape platform will be 5,000 MAHA tokens per month for the first month. Based on the DAO’s progress, the budget will gradually increase to a maximum of 15,000 MAHA tokens per month after the first month.
Every user that joins the Coordinape platform in the first month will be given a budget of 500 MAHA tokens to reward other members of the community.
