Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) are growing in popularity, with more and more projects adopting the model. DAOs are decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) that are run by their communities. DAOs allow community members to vote on ideas for the organization’s future, ensuring that everyone’s opinion is heard.

Snapshot allows community members to propose and vote off-chain, allowing users to engage in governance without having to pay transaction costs.

Snapshot is an exciting new partner for EPNS. EPNS will create alerts for proposals on Snapshot due to this partnership, which will be sent to all token holder delegates of a given governance project. EPNS will also build an EPIP to produce a notice that will allow these users to utilize call to action and sign these proposals directly from the notifications if they so want.

Working together will also fine-tune the EPNS protocol and enhance its key features and functions to keep up with changing governance dynamics.

About SnapShot

Snapshot describes itself as a gasless, off-chain multi-governance client that allows the community to develop, vote on, and validate proposals. The initiative allows communities to conduct off-chain token holder voting.

There are no fees associated with submitting a proposal or voting on Snapshot. Proposals and votes are kept on IPFS assigned messages.

Snapshot allows users to change domain names, vote strategies, proposal thresholds (the minimum number of tokens necessary to establish a proposal), and even install the POAP plugin to reward community members who voted in a submission.

About Ethereum Push Notification Service

EPNS is a decentralized notification protocol that allows users to receive notifications via their wallet addresses. Any dApp, service, or smart contract can utilize the protocol to provide platform-agnostic alerts to users (mobile, tablet, web, user wallets, etc).
