The Web3 ecosystem includes decentralized finance (DeFi). Everyone is witnessing the creation of this new open global financial infrastructure, led by crypto pioneers and enthusiasts. In the meantime, institutions and non-crypto native users are joining DeFi, and they need tools that match the user experience of Web2 tools and smartphone apps.

EPNS is excited to announce its trial collaboration with Aave, the premier decentralized liquidity protocol, in this area. The work with Aave also give the chance to improve the EPNS protocol and establish a solid decentralized notification standard.

Aave and EPNS have a two-pronged relationship and pilot program:

The initial objective is to create a notification standard that satisfies the stringent needs of DeFi liquidity protocol users. Users of Aave will be able to sign up for alerts about things like the risk of being liquidated, the health factor of their loan declining, the rate of borrowing or depositing exceeding preset thresholds, new assets becoming available for borrowing, governance proposals being approved, and so on.

Second, Aave’s highly skilled staff will offer advice on how to improve EPNS’ scalability, security, usability, and acceptance.

Aave is credited with helping to shape the DeFi ecosystem into what it is today.

About Aave

Aave is a non-custodial, decentralized, open source liquidity market system that allows users to earn interest on deposits and borrow digital assets.

About Ethereum Push Notification Service

EPNS is a decentralized notification protocol that allows users to receive notifications via their wallet addresses. Any dApp, service, or smart contract can use the protocol to provide platform-agnostic notifications to users (mobile, tablet, web, user wallets, etc).
